Medicinal Cannabis Indications with Case Study - Chronic Pain

This module reviews the pathophysiology of chronic pain, and associated symptom burden. 
Topics include the endocannabinoid modulation of pain and inflammation; the role of medicinal cannabis in treatment-resistant cases, and the clinical considerations for this complex patient group.

Learners will explore safe clinical practices for cannabinoids with a focus on patient education, risk assessment, and ongoing patient monitoring.

A Case study will be presented to develop and assess clinical reasoning and practice management skills, identify knowledge gaps, and provide a framework for clinical supervision and feedback.
